III. First Romanian Solana Developer Program Cohort 4
We are proud to continue our First Romanian Solana Developer Program, now
preparing for its 4th cohort. This fully online program is designed to onboard and
mentor developers building on the Solana blockchain. With hands-on technical sessions
and community support, the program aims to accelerate local talent into global readiness.
If you’ve been meaning to go deeper into Solana, this is your chance to level up with guidance from people who’ve been there.
Registration opens soon - stay tuned!
Want to get involved as a sponsor, mentor, or partner? Reach out here: contact@cometsofweb3.space - we’d love to hear from you!
2 Builders Like You
Meet 2 builders from some of the projects that won in the First Romanian Solana Hackathon:
I. Andrei Gliga: Software Developer and Security Data Scientist Intern at Arctic Wolf, 1st place winner with his project for Solana Hackathon: Riddle Rush.
Andrei has background in cybersecurity, data science, and backend infrastructure gives his blockchain projects a strong technical edge.
His project, Riddle Rush, is a game that combines logic-based puzzles, storytelling, and smart contract mechanics using a commit-reveal system, offering players real on-chain incentives for solving challenges. It hints at a new category of viral content: one where people don’t just comment - they compete, learn, and earn.
You can check out more about his work here: Andrei on LinkedIn
II. Aurora Sofia Uifelean: Full‑Stack Developer Intern at Bosch, 3rd place winner with her project for Solana Hackathon: Pixel Chain Academy
Aurora is currently interning at Bosch Romania, where she works on both .NET backend and Angular front-end development, bridging critical enterprise-grade systems with user-focused interfaces. With a passion for precision in code and a growing interest in Web3 frameworks, she brings a hybrid skill set to decentralized technology.
Her project, Pixel Chain Academy, won 3rd place for its playful, visual approach to Web3 education.
The game introduces users to NFTs, smart contracts, and blockchain basics through quests, pixel art, and Devnet-powered interactions. In a space often seen as intimidating, Aurora offers an empathetic solution: learn by playing. With plans to partner with Web3 projects for onboarding and rewards, Pixel Chain Academy has the potential to become a gateway for the next generation of users

1 Idea From Others
Rory Ovedje, Ex-Marketer, Legal Advisor and expert in Privacy, AI Governance, Blockchain, Startup, and Cybersecurity, shared on X:
" You can’t “delete” data from a blockchain. So how do you comply with GDPR? Here’s the problem: GDPR grants the right to erasure. But blockchains are designed to be immutable. 1/6
If you’re building or advising on Web3 products, this isn’t a theoretical problem. It’s a structural contradiction. So how do real-world Blockchain projects handle this? 2/6
Keep personal data off-chain
• Store sensitive info in a separate, erasable backend (e.g., secure DB)
• On-chain, use references or hashes, not the actual data
Use unlinkable identifiers
• Avoid reusing wallet addresses in ways that link to identities
• Think pseudonymity, not pseudo-security
Disclose limitations
• If you can’t offer full erasure, your privacy notice must say so clearly and upfront
Adopt privacy-enhancing tech
• zk-proofs, mixers, or privacy layers can help minimize data exposure without breaking functionality This isn't a loophole. It’s a tightrope. Thankfully, the challenge isn’t fixing blockchain to fit privacy laws.
It’s designing responsibly within both. Are you building on-chain systems with off-chain privacy responsibilities? #Web3 #Founder Let’s talk architecture and risk in the comments."
