We’re hosting a 48-hour Sui Romanian Hackathon on 14-16th of November in Bucharest for our Sui Developer Program Alumni and beyond, with $3,000 in prizes, three tracks (DeFi, Infra & Tooling, and AI), and plenty of chances to walk away a winner.
You’ll get goodie bags, access to expert workshops, and full mentorship support throughout the event. Bring your own team or we’ll help you find one. Participation is free, and all food, snacks, and drinks are on us.

2. Comets is coming to Budapest!
Get ready to connect and collaborate, because our famous builders' meetups are coming to Budapest on the 30th of October!
In partnership with the Sui Foundation and SunDAO, this is a dedicated Builders’ Meetup designed to be relaxed with high-quality networking. 3. Bridging Web2 and Web3 at PROW Conference in Timisoara was amazing!
We’ve partnered with the Sui Foundation, Ape Consulting, eSand, Haufe Group to host a wonderful two-day side event at the PROW Conference (21st-22nd of October).
This event was 100% focused on action: how do you get Web2 businesses to actually execute smart contracts? We had practical panels, plus hands-on technical workshops covering the Sui Stack and the Move programming language.

4. Sui Developer Program is going on a national tour! 🇷🇴
We’ve already trained over 120 Romanian builders in the Sui Stack and Move programming language, in Bucharest and Timișoara, and we’re just getting started 🚀
Next week, Comets of Web3, in partnership with Sui Foundation, is heading to Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest, and Iași to launch 5 new cohorts of ambitious developers ready to build the future of Web3.
Next step in their journey? Sui Romanian Hackathon in November and Sui Bootcamp in December!
5. Meet the Winners of Solana 🇷🇴 Romanian Hackathon
What a night! The tension was high, fingers crossed, and hopes even higher!
Last night we wrapped up our Solana Romanian Hackathon by announcing the 3 winners of the $1,500 prize pool offered by Comets of Web3, and here they are:
1st place: SquadBet - a platform that lets you bet on your teammates to boost motivation and team performance.
2nd place: SolPredict - a decentralized prediction market where anyone can trade on crypto outcomes and earn rewards from market results.
3rd place: EvoTickets - eco-friendly ticketing platform, where organizers grow loyal audiences, gamify engagement, and reduce fraud with on-chain transparency.
Congratulations to all the teams from our Romanian 🇷🇴 Solana Developer Program, organised in partnership with Solana Foundation, who worked hard to get here. Best of luck to everyone for the Colosseum International Hackathon!
