Sui Hackathons are coming to Cluj and Iasi, hosted by Comets of Web3 in partnership with Sui Foundation. Both events will take place at two of Romania’s top engineering universities: the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca and Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi.
Teams can include marketing, business, and design experts, alongside the developers. Bring your friends, form a strong team, and aim for the top prize.

2. Sui Hackathon Bucharest was a blast - See the winners!
Bucharest turned into a builders’ hub as the Sui Hackathon wrapped up after 48 hours of prototyping, pitching, and fast-paced iteration.
Teams delivered strong results across categories:
DeFi: SUInergy, Sui Stars, Keeping Up With the Ilies, Trenbolon
AI: Keeping Up With the Ilies, Cyber Kittens, NeuraLOL
Tooling: Kevo, Cyber Kittens, Smart Forge
We also highlighted standout teams in areas like Best Business Plan, Best Student Team, Best UI/UX, and Best Use of Sui SDK.
Thanks to the Sui Foundation, our mentors, and all participants for keeping the momentum high. More hackathons are on the way with brand-new chances to build, learn, and ship.
3. Sui Foundation Team comes to Romania
Sui Foundation is landing in Romania for the first time, and it’s happening in a big way. The core team is coming to run a live, in-depth Sui Bootcamp built to accelerate the growth of our developer community. It’s a major milestone for builders in the region, and we’re proud that Comets of Web3 helped make it possible.
The response has been remarkable. Registrations filled up fast, with interest coming from across the country. Developers from all over Romania are now heading to Bucharest, ready to learn, build, and grow together.
We’re honored to welcome the Sui team and to work side by side in supporting the next wave of blockchain talent in our community. 🩵
4. Beer party in Timisoara was amazing!
The blockchain scene in Timisoara is gaining momentum, and our meetup on the 21st of November with Sui Foundation proved it. Builders, developers, founders, and investors gathered for an evening of sharp conversations on blockchain trends, real business use cases, and new opportunities on Sui.
We kept the energy high with a raffle: three winners walked away with $100 and a Comets of Web3 goodie bag featuring our signature community t-shirt.
The vibe made one thing clear: Timisoara’s blockchain builders community is growing fast.

Kevo is a full-stack developer with over five years of experience building scalable web applications. Skilled in TypeScript, Go, React, Next.js, and cloud and database administration, with a master’s degree in Advanced Cybersecurity. See his project atomic402 that won 1st place in Infra&Tooling Track.
Bogdan Popa is a blockchain developer specializing in smart contract development for EVM chains and Solana. Skilled in Solidity, with both full-time and freelance experience building staking, vesting, and IDO strategies. See his team’s project ChainInvoice that won them 1st place in the DeFi Track.
