I.

​Marius Ciobotaru is the co-founder of Kamino Finance, playing a key role in the DeFi innovation of the Solana Ecosystem. He has started Kamino, now a billion dollars project, by participating in a Solana Hackathon in 2021. Read his full story below, in the ‘1 Idea from Others section’.

​ Tudor Holotescu is the founder and CEO of HeadStarter, an IDO launchpad and project accelerator within the Hedera ecosystem. He is also co-founder at Buidler Labs. Actively engaged in the Hedera community since 2018, Tudor has been instrumental in fostering decentralized funding for innovative projects on the network.

​Marius, co-founder @Kamino Finanice, one of the biggest DeFi projects on Solana:

''Back in 2021 I was looking for a job in which I could write more Rust, as I was in despair after years of C++, and I was considering crypto startups as most of them had Rust codebases. I was not specifically looking for a crypto job and was quite reluctant actually.

Then in May 2021 I found a Tweet about the Solana Seasons hackathon and that you could do it in Rust, so I thought why not - I can try it and see if I like it without having to fully commit to changing my job.

Suffice to say, I loved it and it changed my life.

Hackathons are awesome for people that want to try something else without having to fully change their job - they can get a taste of a possible different future.

If you have the builder itch, it's also 100x better than doing it alone in the weekends at home because you at least have a proper feedback loop here and emotional support.
Super proud of @colosseum that they keep the builder culture alive, that same culture that onboarded so many of the successful teams onto Solana in the first place.''
