1. Romania's Solana Ecosystem Report 2025 Is Live
We are proud to announce the launch of the Solana Romanian Ecosystem 2025 Report. Over the past years, Romania has emerged as one of the most productive Solana builder ecosystems in Central and Eastern Europe, and this report tells that story in full.
This is the result of the sustained efforts of the COMETS community to transform raw talent into real products and international contributors.
Here is a quick look at what we have built together:
- 200 developers trained through our educational program
- 35 MVPs built and launched on-chain during our hackathons
- 30+ active Solana projects currently developed by Romanian teams
- Over $1 million in total capital attracted to the Romanian ecosystem
- A rapidly growing community, exceeding 1,000 active participants

2. Bucharest Blockchain Builders Meetup, A Night to Remember
On the 28th of February, we brought the energy to Bucharest with our Blockchain Builders Event, the official opening of Crypto Expo Europe. More than 100 founders, builders, and Web3 developers gathered in one room to connect, swap ideas, and push blockchain forward.
A huge thank you to our Gold Partner Raven, one of Europe's largest automated market makers, for joining and contributing to an amazing atmosphere.
We also held the “Blockchain Technology Adoption: The Institutional Level” panel, featuring Daiana Marculescu, Serban Meza, and Alexandru Carbunariu. The discussion went from barriers of adoption, partnerships, and real CEE examples to blockchain in higher education, web3 internships, and the next 2-3 years of progress.

3. Budapest Blockchain Event was amazing
We returned to Hungary on the 26th of February for our Blockchain Builders Event, and more than 40 builders showed up!
Special thanks to our co-hosting partners at SunDAO Ventures, the leading investment DAO in the space, for helping bring the Hungarian blockchain community together.
And a warm thank you to our fantastic panelists, Daiana Marculescu, Imre Kocsis, and Kovács Dóra, for sharing their insights and inspiring the builders about the bright future of the Hungarian blockchain ecosystem.

4. Sign up to the Innoventure competition
Romania ranks last in the EU on innovation, but the Innoventure competition is challenging that label. Built on doctoral research, it spotlights SMEs that innovate in practice, adopting new tech, improving processes, or rethinking business models, even without ever filing a patent.
The initiative wraps up with a gala and a published catalogue of Romanian innovators, turning the focus toward what's already being built quietly across the country.
SMEs can apply, and anyone who admires a local company is encouraged to nominate them. Because if something impressed you, chances are innovation happened there.

Imre Kocsis is leading the blockchain laboratory at Budapest's top technical university, where he's spent the last 17 years at the intersection of research and real-world applications. He's also a co-founder of Quanopt, bringing an entrepreneurial edge to his academic contributions.
Dóra Kovács is an operations manager at Blockben with a sharp finance background and a Master's in Management and Leadership from Corvinus University. She brings a rare mix of financial expertise and hands-on crypto industry experience.
