2. Vienna's Blockchain and AI Builders Are Gathering on 17th May

COMETS is coming to Vienna on 17th May for an evening at the intersection of AI and Web3.
We are bringing security researchers, legal experts, professors, and ecosystem builders on stage to talk about what is actually reshaping blockchain development right now.
Formal methods, MiCA, academic research, and the AI x Web3 panel, all in one room, built for people who are serious about what they are building.

3. Our Intro to Blockchain Workshop at UPB Was a Success!

Last weekend we wrapped up our 3 Intro to Blockchain workshops at Facultatea de Automatica si Calculatoare, UPB in partnership with Binance. Our technical instructors, Bogdan Popa and Lorena Balea led the blockchain sessions covering everything from fundamentals to smart contracts and the hackathon experience. Binance Academy taught us about cryptocurrencies, and we ended each session with a brief intro to crypto taxation. Grateful to everyone who joined us, and we'll see you at the next one!

4. 19 Days Left to Declare Your Crypto Revenue for 2025

25th May 2026 is the legal deadline for the Single Tax Declaration in Romania. If you had any crypto activity in 2025, traded, staked or received airdrops, you have a tax obligation.
We built a step-by-step guide to help you declare correctly, verified by accounting experts. And if you had no activity in 2025 but plan to in 2026, the 2026 edition is just as important: taxes rose from 10% to 16%, and there are plenty of crypto revenue cases that are calculated differently than you might expect.

“From 1st January 2026, ANAF will have access to all crypto activity in Romania through the European DAC8 Directive, now enacted into Romanian law. Crypto platforms are required to report all transactions, including sales, purchases, swaps and their value in RON. The Romanian state will have full visibility and will tax accordingly. [...]"
