"Don't let your Web3 users vanish into the abyss of inactivity!
Been there, built that, and definitely lost a few leads along the way in Web3.
The biggest leak in your Web3 funnel isn't always product-market fit; it's often human-market fit. We get so deep in the tech, we forget the basics:
1. Stop being cryptic: Your awesome dApp means nothing if users can't grasp its value instantly. Simplify your messaging.
2. Onboarding friction kills: Wallet connect issues, complex gas fees, multi-step processes? Each one is a potential drop-off. Streamline, simplify, support.
3. Community isn't just hype: It's your earliest user base, your feedback loop, and your nurture channel. Engage authentically, provide real value, and answer questions. Even the "dumb" ones.
4. Follow-up is king: In a fast-moving space, a prompt, personalized response can be the difference between a new user and a lost opportunity. Don't ghost your leads!
5. Web2 UI/UX wins: Your UI doesn't have to look "web3". We already have awesome UI frameworks in Web2 that work really well. Stick to them.
Your web3 app shouldn’t feel like a different environment. You don't need to bring the "onchain" experience to the front end. Make it seamless.
- Look at how Axiom did it; your swaps are replaced by buy and sell buttons.
- Your wallet is inside the app; you're not forced to connect a 3rd-party wallet.
