1. COMETS Digital Assets was a hit
On 29th October, accountants, tax consultants and lawyers joined us online for the first edition of COMETS Digital Assets. Daiana Marculescu and Claudiu Ionita, Tax Director at BDO Romania, walked through how crypto gains are taxed and declared, which records to ask clients for and how net gain is calculated under ANAF rules, then opened the floor to a Q&A that brought the most interesting client cases of the evening.

3. ParadigmShift x Taxes Support, live on X
“How do I declare crypto to ANAF?” is the question that keeps coming up in every trading community. Yesterday, Mister Spread and his ParadigmShift community went live on X with Taxes Support to get the answers straight from the people who work on crypto taxes every day.
The evening kicked off with a quick tour of Romania’s tax rules and the EU framework behind them, then went hands on with a live demo: bring your history from every exchange you’ve used, drop in wallet addresses or CSV exports, and your tax report is ready in minutes. From there, the community took over with the questions every trader asks come tax season, from offsetting losses against gains to swaps, withdrawals and USD trades declared in RON.
The conversation will continue in December, right before the holidays.

Marcel van Oost, sharing a breakdown by Anup Panwar on how banks process stablecoin payments:
“On-chain confirmation ≠ final settlement.”
Behind every stablecoin transfer, a bank runs a full stack of work: KYC, wallet checks, FX and compliance before the payment, ongoing AML, treasury and custody controls during it, then reconciliation across the payment system, the core banking ledger and the blockchain records, plus audit trails and regulatory reporting at the end. Moving the coin is the easy step. The real work is getting every system around it to agree the payment is done.
For builders, that is where the opportunity sits: reconciliation, compliance and reporting tools that let banks close a stablecoin payment with the same confidence as a wire transfer.
